HyperX IMPACT DDR4 SODIMM 2400Mhz CL14

A very interesting point of discussion speaking of PC and hardware is Laptops Ram upgrades.
Sometimes the stock 8Gb configuration in most low and mid range laptops is not enough for your everyday gaming/working needs. HyperX knows it well and covers you up with the Impact lineup of SODIMM memory kits. They are available in speeds of 2133MHz, 2400MHz, 2666MHz, 2933MHz and 3200MHz, with capabilities of 4G, 8G and 16GB, both available in single modules blisters as in kits.

For our review we have in our office the 2x8Gb 2400mhz CL14 kit. It is a 16GB DDR4 memory kit (8GBx2) clocked at 2400Mhz compatible with Intel XMP profile and 1.2V voltage.

UNBOXING

The HyperX IMPACT DDR4 SODIMM modules come inside a transparent plastic blister.
It contains the ram modules, instructions and the usual HyperX Sticker we can find in pretty much all HyperX products.
The modules respect the SO-DIMM standard form factor for laptops with 260 pins.
They are clocked up to 2400MHz and they feature a plug and play experience.
The voltage is 1.2V and its latencies are CL1414-14.

Other than performances we are delighted to see that Hyper offers a lifetime warranty for its memory modules, a guarantee that ensures we are facing a very reliable product.
They support Intel XMP auto profiles so the system, if compatible, will automatically configure them to their correct frequency, latency and voltage values. They feature a black PCB that gives the whole product a gaming appearance despite once they’re installed they will be hidden into the laptop.

TESTING

In order to test the modules we used the following applications: CPU-Z, AIDA64, Passmark Performance Test.
Testing equipment: HP 15-da0112nl

CONCLUSIONS

Concluding we can tell we are facing some really interesting DDR4 SODIMM memory to expand laptops or mini-PCs. They have shown good performances in relation to their architecture, the equipment used to test them and considering also competitor’s performances.
We enjoyed a lot the plug and play functionality and the product has proved to be ideal for compact equipment configurations. They provide high performance at a good price, especially now that Ram Prices have dropped.
The HyperX IMPACT DDR4 SODIMM modules are available in speeds of 2133MHz, 2400MHz, 2666MHz, 2933MHz and 3200MHz, with capabilities of 4G, 8G and 16GB, and both single module as in kits modules 2 and 4, so that the possibilities of different configurations multiply.
In short, after using the HyperX IMPACT DDR4 SODIMM we have been satisfied with the performance offered.
